The #1 social media mistake you might be making

Did you conduct your “business physical”? ICYMI, in my last newsletter I challenged you to do a lil' wellness checkup on your biz by reading thru your latest online reviews and seeing what people are saying. I'd love to hear what positive (or negative) themes your customers are bringing up in their reviews so I can help you turn them into opportunities.

Let's talk through it in my Facebook group: The Help! Desk.

And today I want to call your attention to an additional piece of the "business wellness" puzzle. During this season of renewal where we're all setting new (and better) business habits, I had to pop in with another quick but important tip on something I am unfortunately seeing more and more:

Don't make people dig for your business contact info! quote graphic

This is so crucial.

I was inspired to share this with you today after a particularly frustrating afternoon where this issue came up multiple times on so many social media profiles I was doing research on.

Please don't make potential customers dig for your business contact info!

While you're catching up on Netflix or scrolling over your morning ☕, please take 10 minutes and make sure that your Instagram bio, Facebook 'about' page, LinkedIn contact info, and website all have the following contact info for your biz (if applicable): 📌 web address 📌 email address 📌 phone number 📌 street address (or at least city)

I can't tell you how often this information is missing (or hidden/buried) on business social media profiles and websites. This is heartbreaking! 💔 The internet attention span is merely *seconds*. If someone cannot instantly find out what town your cafe is located in, or what your landscape company's phone number is, or what your yoga studio's email address is -- they will give up and pick someone else, or simply lose interest.

Never assume they will look for it, or that they already know it. Don't make potential customers do extra work to hunt down the most basic of information.

This is so easy, and takes just a few minutes out of your day to take care of it today.

Once you've double-checked that your biz contact info is listed correctly in all the prominent and public-facing places that it should be, hit reply and let me know so I can cheer you on!

PS: I’ve seen first hand how reputation management and online reviews have helped many of my clients grow their businesses. In fact, I care about this topic SO much that I’ve been hard at work creating a bunch of awesome, value-packed resources to help you in your business wellness journey. I’m putting on the finishing touches as we speak.

Want me to send you a heads-up as soon as it's ready?
