Sometimes Most of the time… slow and steady wins the race, my friend.
In less than 18 months, I grew my email list from basically zero to 1000 subscribers 🏆
I never made a huge deal about aggressively going after it, but hitting 1K was somewhat of a goal in my mind. Others have reached it in far less time, or with much more time, and both are 100% OK. I’m here to show you what’s possible with a little effort, a little consistency, a little creativity, a little help from online educators I admire (like email queeeeeen Tarzan Kay), and a touch of patience.
One of the ways I’ve consistently grown my email list is by offering a variety of quality lead magnets on my site focused on topics like logo design, social media, online reviews, and more. (Grab one or grab them all here!)
🧠 If you haven't created a lead magnet yet for your business and would like suggestions on what kind of offer YOU should make for your audience, hit 'reply' or jump over to my Facebook Group, HELP! Desk with Alycia Yerves! I'll pick a few and do a mini brainstorm with you.
Remember: You don't own your social media followers.
Lead magnets are a great way to build your email list so you always have a way of getting in touch with your people even if social media goes down and even if you don't have a website.
I believe a brand's success is strongly tied to the strength of its email list.
💌 Want to get started with email marketing? Flodesk is my favorite platform. And if you wanna save 50% on your Flodesk subscription, you can grab my affiliate link here!
So, have you created a lead magnet yet? What did you offer? How is it working for you? Hit 'reply' to let me know!
PS: The design of the item is less important than the content. People are after the content and information, not the colors and graphics and floral borders it includes. So if you're not a designer, don't worry! Draft something in Word or Canva, and do the best you can.
